Even if they were breeding pairs, there would be no guarantee they would breed in your tank. My Rotkeils spawned every 2 weeks when they were in the tank with the texas, but I moved them a couple of months ago, moved their favorite ornament that they spawned on too. Since I moved them not a single egg has been produced.

i dont really want breeding fish to be honest so if a single rotkeil will be ok then this is what ill get i think. ive done the breeding thing with other fish and dont have the time anymore. also dont want teritorial battles if i can get away with it, i want an easy tank

star, get that water change done and then sit down with a well earnt cup of tea or something stronger. i have an image of you flyimg about thinking of my stocking plans while hauling buckets full of water. 1 job at a time

There only dinky, i'd say about an inch. No more than 1.5", closer to 1"

its fun some nights, lucky tonight only 1 dog in the way, but one of my boys has a cold so its a couple of buckets, scan the boards, check on the little un. At least my eldest dog is fast asleep, bless her sometimes she likes to follow me.

the rotkeil has been purchased hes about 5.5 inches in the body and is currently settling in. ill get pics asap.

i have decide that my fish in this tank will all need names so after the fish are in and settled i will put up some pics for name suggestions i dont normally name my fish but as these are quite different from each other and individuals i think its required. how sad i am.....

I named my Jack Dempsey the day i got him. I called him JD because its his name abbreviated, and i loved Scrubs at the time (main character is JD) Lol.

I've also just named my latest aquisition. Duke my hopefully wild strain Oscar
