My gosh, I think I have "first vid syndrome", I now hate that video with a passion.
Probably because I'm a perfectionist too.
Anywho, weather still looks good for tomorrow AND Lapis held her weight over the night! Nice to wake up to a fat and happy betta.

So, let me explain the loot I got on Saturday, and other assorted stuffles.
I got a small piece of spiderwood for 10 USD..very branchy. =3
I got a buttload of Anubias, actually got too much, so Azul will be getting a present today!
Most of the rockwork was removed, as the piece of spiderwood was nearly too big!
But after a bunch of squishing and repositioning, we got it! Sadly, I forgot driftwood floats, so Lapis has a little...giant..rock..on her driftwood...
I tied most of the smaller Anubias onto the driftwood, and the other two taller pieces on rocks to sit behind the wood. Cleaning this tank'll be a blast.
Today I squeezed a old sponge into the tank, and tomorrow morning a ppm of ammonia will be added. Oh, cycling.
And, hopefully, I can order in some Amano shrimp to help with algae a bit, but enough talking, piccys!

Regarding your filter, I may have found a solution that hides it.

You could modify this design slightly if you wanted to, IE not use media, But it gives you an idea on how to hide the filter.
