I have a tiger barb that is starting to take the form of a previous large tiger barb that ended up dying. We did not know the cause. It almost looks like the fish is pregnant. Does anyone know what it could be or do tiger barbs naturally take this form?

Please follow this link. My pic will not upload!

I can't really tell by the pictures but are the scales raised in any way?

1. Water parameters. (ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, PH, temp', Hardness etc)
2. A full description of the fishes symptoms.
3. How often you do water changes and how much.
4. Any chemicals and treatments you add to the water.
5. What tank mates are in the tank.
6. Tank size.
7. Finally Have you recently added any new fish?

Filling that out would also be helpful.

Do you feed vegs as well ???? Barbs need a variated diet with a good load of vegs (blanched lettuce, spinach aso)

Could be egg-bound as well (not getting rid of her eggs that "harden" inside the fish).
