In General, What Type Of Posts Annoy You?

Everyone has a "type of post" on the forum that annoys them...


let's keep it friendly, no specific names or examples...


for instance...


I really can't stand all the people who post about "breeding bettas" when they have absolutely no idea what they are doing or what proper care bettas need, such as conditioning etc.

It kinda bugs me when I see questions that could literally have been answered in depth on several reputable websites by just Google searching the question. I can understand not being sure and wanting some verification from the forum. I don't mean that you should only Google stuff and never ask questions, it's just some questions are so easy that you can find the answer yourself in less time than it takes to make a topic.

May I approach this from a diffrent prospective?

I Like posts:

That are fun

That are original

That have relevance

That have pictures

That show even a newonce of intelegence

That you can see the poster has made some effort to research the question else were and is seaking conformation on there research

That ask for advice then act on the advice given, OH AND SAY THANKYOU!

Newbies, please take a moment to check you're right before you post, "Oh you can keep 10 fantails and a common plec in a 10 gallon, easy. My aunt's brother-in-law's next-door neighbour kept them like that for 25 years; they only grow to the size of the tank, you know, the man in the pet shop told me. Water changes just stress the fish."

+1, they tend to be really long and basically the same thing.

I dont like any posts/threads in the Tropical Fish Emergencys because its really boring And I find those constant
'What are your water stats?
How many gallons or litres is the tank?
How many fish and which type' ETC...
so annoying and repetitive

I also dont like those threads on some boards such as 'Meet Luke' or 'Whats wrong with Betty' (without mentioning the fish species)or when people post lots of threads on the same fish about stupid things (except Chops because he is special )

And stocking threads that start "I have a 1000l tank and dont know what to put in it"
Why buy it then !. (but thats just me being jealous because I would have no trouble filling a huge tank )

The ones that ask about cycling and the ones "when will my fish give birth?"

They just annoy me because if the person that posted it Just clicked on the right section, all their answers are pinned topics!
