ok well I found this stuff at work( I do yard work for some people down the road) and they have this Pond/Lake and i was glancing over along the surface when i noticed it (attached to a log) upon closer insepection, i found there was TONS!!!! and me being working doing yard work everyonce in a while, was thinking.....Hmmm cheap and easy tank plants??? hahahaha! well here are some pics.

I have it in a sandwich container in with some tank water in there, if it survives after a week it will have been quarntened for long enough anyway and i can put some in!!! WOOT!

cool stringy moss :D

put it in the planted section im sure that it will be id'ed there

hmm maybe.... is it tank safe though?? i can't see a reason why not myself but then again I don't really know much about aquatic plants...

The plant itself would probably be ok as long as it's from warm water already.

But it's what you might bring in on it like bugs etc. even if you quarutine it most of the things will still get in as they wouldn't just die in the box.

:good:

Salt bath wouls remove alot of nasties.. though would need thorough rinse after.

you could give it a bleach bath too. If you do that, be sure to really was it real good.

Was it 1/10th bleach and 9/10ths water dilution? Cant remember now

If it were me, I wouldn't you dont know what you're adding. Yes the same goes for plants from a fish shop, but you just never know thats all. But thats probably just me being paranoid!
