Ian's Lounge Tank

I would go for the rams or similar dwarf cichlids

It's put me right off Cichlids, however i would love to be able to keep GBR's or Gold rams. My GH is way to high though. I may go down the Gourami route again.

How come your shrimp come out in the day loads, mine seem to come out at night all the time...

Mine are always out and about, i did buy some ghost shrimp a couple of days ago. My LFS sells them as feeders @ 35p each!! I got £3 worth. They are great little workers. I shall be buying more at that price. A interesting shrimp, you can see the food they eat as it digests!
I thought those shrimp were brackish, I had tons of them then they mysteriously died over 1 week. Nothing to do with the water though  I will get some of those tomorrow to feed my oddballs. I have to taste the water see if its salty...

Thank you all for your suggestions, i have bought a group of yellow honey's, they suite the scape well. I love Gold Rams, however i can't keep them in such hard water. These are the next best thing IMO.

Do you know the Hygro's full name?

Its called hygrophila pinnatifida, it's the best stem i have kept. It's not to fast growing that your always trimming it. It is sending out runner like theres no tomorrow, so i might have some to spare soon.

And just a couple of updated pics lol

can you keep me in mind for the hygro please? it's lush! (assuming you're on about the tall stem that's nearly up to the water level? god I'm crap with plants lol  )

Yes, thats the one Cazzie, i'll be sending it out for free, when it comes to trimming it.

The yellow honey looks nice on the last pic, how many you get Ian?

The Hygro is looking excellent :good:
