Hi!
I already have a 10 gallon tank split in half that houses two bettas, a snail on each side, and a small platy on each side as well (though I donā€™t know how long they will be staying in that tank).
I recently saw a betta I was interested in purchasing but Iā€™m wondering if dividing the 10 would make each compartment too small.
The tank has an appropriate filter, is cycled, and is standard dimensions.
Any advice would help, thanks.

I think that less than 5 gallons per Betta would not be good. They need room to swim. I kept my Betta alone in 5 and 10 gallon tanks

That would be way too small Iā€™m afraid for all of those fish. They already need a much larger tank. At least a 20G long. These fish need length to swim, not just depth. Iā€™m sorry.

Less than 5 can make them stressed, they need at least 5 gal as other member said.

That depends on how many 1 cubic inches fit into 10 gallons. Or if you use microns millions. However if your question was how much room does a fish need to thrive then the answer would be you can't divide it anymore and you don't have enough room as it is.

There are 2310 cubic inches in a 10 gallon tank:oops:
