Hospital tank discussion

I did read through btw and I would like to say I love the idea of the tote! their cheap, affordable, and easy to clean! I mean I guess tanks are too but carrying a 10-20 gallon tank like outside or somewhere where there is a drain would be a pain whereas a tote is light & easy to lift ;)

in fact, they sell them at Walmart for like $10!
Make sure it's a food-safe tote though, okay? That way it shouldn't leech anything nasty into the water, or react badly to any meds you might add.

When it needs emptying, I start a syphon using a gravel cleaner then have the end draining into a bucket or out of a window/door if you have a long enough hose. Moving and Handling safety is important! Shifting buckets or ten gallons of water manually is terrible for your spine, and once your back is ruined, there's no fixing it!

Look after your back, you young whipper snappers! Learn from us oldies mistakes ;)

Ok, true!

I know carrying a 5-gallon bucket is kinda heavy for me... I ended up every WC I had some extra hoses from my PC WaterCooling setup and used those and extended my syphon hose to reach out my window ;) and then I just grab my hose from the front of my yard and bring it around the back through my window and then inside a bucket where it gets heated to the tank temperature and then it gets pumped into the tank with a pump that can pump 2G/minute it's a solar heater coolant pump ;)

Yeah, I've had some times where my back would hurt for a while after I picked up a heavy log, or carry buckets of water, etc thankfully there wasn't permanent damage!
