So both my tanks seem to be going well, but every time I look at my shrimp tank I think how small/basic the filter is.

I have a Fluval 1+ in there at the moment, and was looking at the Fluval 2+ ?

Is it worth it?

It just seems the Fluval 1+ is very very basic, I used to use it for a betta tank and then my hospital tank... it also only has one type of sponge, but not sure that is a big deal...

I personally would say it`s not worth upgrading to a bigger/better one if you have just shrimp in the tank. There`s very little waste from shrimps and regular water changes can do a good enough job of keeping them happy and the tank clean
