Hi

I went to the local petshop to gaze around all the tanks as you do, i notice some new fish that i haven't seen before they were labelled 'BLUE KING TETRAS' they were the same size as a neon but with a blue line down it's lateral line.

Any Ideas?

Nope they were transparate in colour with a line of blue/lilac tinge down the middle. Very neat, they were 1inch in length.

sounds cool.. the LFS near my place stocks blue emperor tetras.. but their names not too trustworthy as they mostly speak chinese and don't really know the names. anyone knows any good tetra websites? thanks

Does the blue line continue through the tail and possibly even extend a little to form a fillament? I'm thinking Nematobrycon palmeri - like this?

sounds like a fish i saw the other day in the lfs, they called it an emporer tetra..........

I found these on google and they look exactly the same as a neon but with a blue strip.
They were just called BLUE TETRAS

>>> No, thats not the fish, they made a mistake

Can't comment - never kept the fish. I'd still be going with N. palmeri until he says otherwise.

OK here we are: Paragoniates Alburnus
