Has My Tank Got Good Water?

I've come across shops before who didn't even know the difference between acf's and adf's so it may be they didn't realize or it may just be the fact that they are out to make money.

Easiest way to tell is adf's have webbing on all four feet whereas acf's have claws on their front feet, hence the 'c' in acf which stands for clawed

They're out to make money.

To be honest, at the end of the day you are as much to blame for it as they are. You should never buy on impulse. You would'nt buy a Great Dane puppy of you lived in a one bedroom flat with no garden, would you?

Always do your OWN research.

so whats unfair about it?

The point I am trying to get across is that you should always research livestock/pets for yourself. Regardless of the animal.

There is no need to be soooooooooo harsh... this is a beginners section after all!!!

That if you were to buy a pure bred great dane from a registered breeder, ie. one that can provide certified proof of the pups lineage. They would most likely:
a) inquire about the dogs home
b) willingly give correct advise on keeping, training, feeding, its full grown size etc.
c) not just sell the pup for the sake of profit
d) most likely refuse to sell the pup if they deemed its future home inadequate

Now try and tell me that an lfs would do the same, with a straight face.

yes you're right this is the beginners section, and if I came across as harsh, I apologise, as I certainly wasnt trying to be.

You were advised previously that the 7litre tank you had your goldfish in was too small, you were advised they needed 30 gal tanks, you were advised to rehome the fish and fishless cycle (thus you've also been told this about your frog) It seems that aside from buying another incompatable tank (though I fully applaud you for trying, dont get me wrong), none of it has sunk in, so maybe thats why I seem alittle blunt with you.

I dont want to take this off-topic. So if you wanna continue, PM me.

I did try and cycle my tank, the way I was told and as for the new tank.... I spent as much as I could afford, I will hopefully one day be able to afford a bigger one!! As for the other advise u have given me I am doing everything apart from taking my frog back (which I really like and am trying to make a good home), so why be so blunt. So said change the water I have, u say get a bigger tank I have, u say buy a testing kit and not test it at work which i am in the process of doing.... come on what else??

If I wasn't trying to do good I would just do anything!!!

Thats what I am doing!!!!

I did mean before purchasing said animal/pet. Like I said I am not trying to be harsh, so please dont take it that way. Atleast you are trying. I dont know anything about inverts/amphibians so I cant help you regarding suitable tank sizes etc. I'll be happy to help once your test kit arrives and you have a list of your levels...I know alittle bit about that
