Hey harry, great journal so far. Ive been lurking in the background lol

The tank looks great mate. Im hopefully setting up my 1st SW tank soon so Ive learnt loads from your journal
Im using an overflow box too, was just wondering if you have a bit on top to syphon the air out from? Why didnt it work?

the overflow box didnt work because it kept leaking so i made a pipe (flexy one) and got a syphon going. and put some eldows on it so it can be kept in place better. i move the corals up a bit and one of them seem happy. well both of them are happy so i have some more picture.

and they are more in the coral of the week.
also have some pics of the clowns and my cleaner.

Some really good pics their bud! keep up the work. Its good to see someone so young and enthusiastic in a hobby like this rather than causing trouble on the streets lol

just a quick question, how do you regulate the siphon against the return pump?

i have 1 tap on the intake and one return. to stop to much coming through. to get the siphon going you have to have one person putting their thum on the pipe and another person filling the pipe with water once the pipe is full, the person puts the pipe in the water and the person takes thier thum offf and you should get a siphon. the return pump is a maxi jet 1000 but when its in the sump and pushing it up its about 500-600 liters per hour.

They look like Yuma Ricordea. Very hardy corals but, much slower growing than the Florida Ricordea.

in the first image on the right end of the first coral. its like white with a bit of pink around the end
