Hi, folk
Newbie from staffordshire UK here
Just starting up with a fluval flex 15 gallon
Kept a few marine tanks years ago, but totally new to tropical
Few things ive noticed straight away is the lighting differances and flow rates
I wound down my marine tanks just as the new all dancinig and singing led lights came out, and the settings the were solar flare or off
and why dont you guys stick powerheads on everything that does not move
Think this is going to be a bigger learning curve than i thought

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

Freshwater tropical is much simpler than marine . Lots of guys use power heads for current and filters and lots don’t . Everybody does something different . LED lights are in a state of flux right now as far as I can see . The trend is to pack as many gee whiz features onto them as possible and charge a fortune for them . That’s just what it looks like to me . Lights are lights and never will replicate the sun .
You will do fine and figuring out your system will be half the fun .
