guppies in a 5 gal?

I had read somewhere that guppies can be kept happy in a 5 gal. Is this true? Can I get away with all males in a 5 gal?

I am currently fishless cycling a 5 gal tank, and was thinking guppies might be nice, but if I were to do this, I would go for all males, just becaue I don't want to deal with fry. I'd post a pix, but i've got the bulk of the decorations in my hospital tank at the moment (dont worry, they will be steralized before using again)

Is this doable? Also, how many fish would I want to use?

I would think you could keep say 3 guppies of the same sex in there happily. Remember females grow abit larger than males, so it's good that you're choosing males. Then maybe get 3-4 pygmy cories for bottom feeders and your set.

If you just want guppies I'd say 4 should be ok, 5 at the most.
