Got 18 Guppies Yesterday & 5 Are Dead Today 3 Looking Very Ill Wha

Yes, while they are small they should be fine in a breeder net, but try to avoid plastic ones as they can often cause problems. As the fry grow, they will need to be transferred into a bigger tank. ;)

As for catching them, I always find a tea-strainer is an effective way of removing them. :)

how many will there be of them now
& will the males & felmales keep breeding like every week :grr: :look:

I can't possibly say how many fry you currently have. But if your males and females now remain healthy, after they first breed they will continue doing so every month, ;)

I wish you the best of luck.

ok thanks :D

i great improvement

they are acting more normal now i charge the water every day :)

i know is normal just wordering just it gives them a illness by ating the dead 1s

Once he gets to around 5" in my opinion he should be moved elsewhere, different members will have different opinions though. ;) When you change the water, are you careful to either let the water stand for 24 hours to de-chlorinate, OR add Aquasafe or something similar?

When the fish die, always remove them immediately. If they are eating the dead fish, they are likely to catch the disease, and that could be the problem in your tank. Do you have a net? :)

oooooooooooo can you do that just tell the water stand for 24 hours i will try that tomz well the day after coz it will stand for a bit :look:

my fish is 18 cm so he needs moving does he ????

just checking some stuff

how many times should i be feeding my fish ????
i feed 2 times a day
what times should i be feeding them
i do 7 am & 10pm
how much food should i be giving them
i think i give to much
when my fish get healthly how many times a month should i clearn them out ( water charge)
how many hours should the light be on for ?
i do 7am - 10:30pm

please can any1 tell me what i am doing wrong

Light should be on 8-10 hours daily.
I feed my community tanks once daily. (Always better to feed too little than too much)
18cm I would say is the maximum for your size tank, if he continues to grow, you will need to re-house him in a bigger tank, sell him, or give him away. :(

Hope the above information helps you. ;)

thanks :D

i think it going to be very hard to caught the frys i have
i have 2 guppies who are goin to have fry
what about if i put them in a net thing & after the frys are born
put the mums back in the tank because than i will had all tha frys safe
or all the mum dead & shock or will they ate the fry

You can try and catch the babies in the tank after they are born. Chances are that the mother is going to die giving birth so if you can seperate her thats good.

  will the mum dead :(
so if i put them in a breeding net thing the mum will dead abyway so the fry will be safe

if i can nt caught the fry what are the charges of them living

i use aqua safe but i a bit costly

I would NOT risk this; it removes chlorines, but that's no help if your water company adds chloramines or against heavy metals in the water. Better to buy fewer fish and spend more on keeping them safe. A bottle of dechlorinator is not expensive (about the price of 3 guppies).

I just said there is a posability of the mum dieing when giving birth, but it's not a big one. You just try to make her feal as good and comfrtable as possible, so get her away from other fish and put her back after the birth.

so i will put she in the breeding net
can i put 2-3 felmales in 1 net
or do i buy 2 net & keep them a part :)
