Goldfish Eggs?

Just been told goldfish at work have laid eggs, will the goldfish eat them?

The children are excited (day care) what should we do?

Yes the eggs will be eaten even with plenty plants in the tank I doubt that there will be (m)any left after about 5 or 6 hours...... It is essential to remove the spawners immediately when they stop spawning as the eggs are adhesive & will not sink in amoungst the plants making them easily accessable to be eaten.

Just take the plants out that the eggs are stuck on - thats what I did when my goldfish spawned in my pond. I put them in a tank and watched them hatch and grow.

That is the alternative, but important to keep the plants submerged when you remove them from the tank by sinking a small container into the tank.... move the plants into the container (under water) then moving it to the new quarters.....sink the container again.... remove the plants from it (under water) & then remove the container......Transfer completed.
