he's a nice chappy, i get pk come through sometimes as well, I really do like the pk, infact I'm starting to prefer them to the HM lines, i think it is the feisty character that gives them their appeal and the less hassle from them with fin problems, the only problem i find with spawning pk lines is the low numbers of pk that you find in the fry and the high % of delta and superdelta that come through with pk anal fin, which i dont think looks very attractive.

I guess that's something that we'd have to watch for, given that they come from FT x HM lines....will get a fair few throwbacks!!!!

They do have very different personalities though to other types.....I really like that kind of attitude in them and yet they are the gentlest of them all when spawning!!!!

yes, the spawns go some much easier for me too , best fathers by far and the females tend to be more willing too. I'm due to let out a copper hmpk gene girl i bred to a black/blue hmpk tomorrow and really looking forward to it, how sad is that , i dont mind the throw backs as i'm using them to spawn with as they hold a great gene which is what i wanted to create. only problem is that it's very hard to sex these throwbacks ive found until they are actually face to face with a male conditioning. The copper female I thought was male up until last week and her sibling I still aint sure about.

The sexing bit is the only thing that really puts me off At least with our last spawn they've been much easier to sex....except for the large platinum one. I'm conditioning him/her next to a male to see if he/she drops any eggs I'm tending to think it's just a very stroppy female at the moment!!!

That platinum the one that I had? Stroppy bugger whether male or female! Absolutely gorgeous though!

Yep it's the same one....I really think it's female at the moment but time will tell. She has a male in view next to her and hopefully will get eggy!!!!
