Top half of her shell.
Bottom half, as you can see in pretty bad shape and has blood/red spots.
Terri, the Turtle.
This is Terri, a rescued Yellow Bellied Slider Turtle.
I rescued this poor thing from the local Pond/Lake as British water is not suitable for a Yellow Bellied Slider to live in so someone has obviously dumped her when they've got bored or it's got too big.
I'm pretty sure it's a female due to a shorter, narrower tail and a slight curve under the shell near the tail.
As you can see she has some underside shell damage but with proper love and care this may repair itself but I can't guarantee anything as I don't know much about Yellow Bellies except that they grow big and are temperate/tropical not coldwater.
She is half blind and looks to be quite old due to the amount of fading in her colour and the damage on the shell.
Also, she has a bit of a wheeze when she breaths but I suspect this is due to neglect or from being outside.
I have given her shell a clean with a soft toothbrush but it's still not fully clean, the underside is even worse as it starts to hurt her if I try cleaning it.
Free to good home, Collection only due to her size. S13 area.
Thank you.
