Peter, if you have a look at my last pic of the 2 pipes, that is the same/ similar design to what red_pleco has, and as you can see there is no hosing to attach the spraybar to as they are fixed through the bottom of the tank

Its not impossible to fit it over the output end. Not easy, but possible.

i suppose, probaby more hassle than it is worth though.
