hi again well now that ive got my filter sorted thanks to the members here,i bought a spray bar for my external fluval 205 filter, but theres no dam instructions on the box or inside (typical lol) can any one help me as i wish to add this to my tank thanks joe.

attach the rubber end (on the spray bar - if it isnt already), then slide this onto the ribbed hosing that comes from your filter.

you sure about the bends why would they give you them in a box if there no use ? i thought that they join the pipes together so u can have an l shape in your tank?

i am not sure we are talking about the same part lol?

i have a pic of what i think you mean, and it will probably help anyway,

so here is the view from the side:

and the top (please excuse the cable tie/ clear pipe, it is a slight modification i had to do!):

does this help at all?

i dont think i have the same as you my filter is coming through the base of the tank and there is no flexi pipe(ribbed) inside the tank its solid plastic

like this:

if so, you cannot add a spray bar

BTW i have 2 filters on my tank so that is why there is 2 inlets & outlets!

ah ok now u have just solved the problem i cant have the spray bar dam pet shop said it would fit thanks for your patience with me

one of the main reasons why i got another filter, one being the high stocking but also for the extra circulation in the lower areas, if you are wanting more circulation then you could get a powerhead?

You can take the pipes off, screw some caps on to make it water tight then buy some more ribbed hosing and run it up the back of the tank. it depends if you really want the spraybar though.....

Doesn't the spray bar come with suckers?

Connect the hose to the spray bar, by whatever means necessary.

Water will then come out of the spray bar - then use the suckers to place it where you like

well thanks for the help aarron ive decided to maybe get an air stone i think its called were it has bubbles,........hi peter unfortunatley the way the filter is desighned in my tank i cant really put the bar were id like too.

Peter, if you have a look at my last pic of the 2 pipes, that is the same/ similar design to what red_pleco has, and as you can see there is no hosing to attach the spraybar to as they are fixed through the bottom of the tank
