Fish Not Moving

In my tank I have black skirt tetras and angelfish's

all my angels are not moving really they stay in the same place all of them are at the right of the tank

whats happening here. they have been like this the all day I'm getting worried .


please any comments

i had a similar problem only it was my black widow tetras (black skirt) same thing they were all staying in 1 corner but the next day after the lights had been out all night they were fine i wouldnt worry
if theres no signs of stress or sickness

ok I just gave them food and they did not move a bit normally they are the first to go for the food if the keep like that tomorrow I will do a water change I don't now what else to do

I hope tomorrow the will act normally

I find that sometimes all my fish go to one end for a while if I turn a lamp or computer or something like that on.

well I did a 50% water change but now they are gasping for air but not my tetras I have the air stone running and the angel look like stoned

I just hope the don't die

doesnt sound too good how are your water stats for ammonia and nitrite?
are there any other symptoms any white spots or inflamation
post in emergency section to get some extra help
also can you get any close up pictures

well I only have the test for ammonia and its 0
after the 50% water change and seeing the fish like that I did another water change of 25% and now they are not gasping that much now
should live it like that of do one more water change?

How many gallons or litre is the tank.
How many fish and which type.


Immediate water change and increase aeration.
Take a sample of your water to the lfs and ask them to write the readings down for you.

Gasping, bad water quality, toxins, overdose of meds, parasites, bacterial, ph shock, lack of aeration.

I have a 31 gallon tank
I have 4 angels(1 big one and 3 small ones)
4 black skirt tetra
1 white skirt tetra (one died an hour ago )

lfs is at 1 hour from my house so I cant go today

I did a third water change and they are still gasping a little. but I'm still worried I just don't want more fish to die
now I used the water from the filter instead of tap water

if your lfs is 1 hour from your house it would be a good idea for you to buy a master test kit it will save you a lot of frustration
cant really tell you much more now just keep doing the water changes
