Firemouths

ive had a male n female firemouth in a tank together for 3months and they were just flat mates who didnt really get on........now theyve became inseperable gentle fighting swimming round n round flaring,very intence colour and last couple of days a white tube has appeared at base of each fish........so iam hoping for some eggs. but i know they may eat first batch but would be nyce........great to watch them at moment digging pits and cleaning the rocks....so watch this space

it's very possible. anything else in the tank? the males tube should be more pointed then the females? check that to make sure you have a proper pair, sometimes 2 females lays eggs together.

yep deff male n female.............laid eggs last week she watched over eggs fanned and protected them eggs started hatching then male ate em,,,,,,,,,,,,was there 1st attempt so next time maybe
