Is now at University! :D
Atm I'm just waiting to be paid so I can re-order some shrimp after my massive shrimp disaster. My poor bank balance...I really coulda done without basically pouring £200 down the plug hole...almost literally.
Anyways, I'm finding it so so hard to stop myself from buying fish. Atm I'm stuck between wanting a pair of german blue rams or a pair of honey gouramis.
Plus point of the honeys is that I don't need a new tank cause they're happy at 25C and will leave my shrimp alone so can go in the 60l, one in each side.
Negatives - can't really find any other than they'll need bagging up at some point to move to uni with me...this is true of any fish though
Plus point of GBR is...
well they're GBRs
Negatives - Would need to get them there own tank and am limited on space until I move into the uni house however there is the issue again when I move back home. And it means another tank to move...
Oh woe is me
Just to add I have all the equipment neccesary to breed either of the above fish too... so breeding them isn't out of the question as I can raise the fry over the year and sell/give them away before I come home. And personally I think little baby GBRs would be the most adorable little things ever. But then I can imagine baby honeys are quite sweet too.
And there just happens to be an arcadia arc 35l around 5miles from my house for sale for £10... no light which is a bit annoying...but still...I reckon a pair of GBRs with no other fish might fit quite nicely in there (if they spawned any fry would be removed pretty much as soon as they were free swimming with parents) and if they were particularly prolific I'd just remove eggs as they were laid.
