One of my female bettas, Garnet, has had fin rot. It's just a thin ridge of black along the edge of her tail fin. None of the other bettas have it, and I don't believe it is spreading much further up Garnet's tail. I'm going to be emptying the 5 gallon on Tuesday*, so should I move her over then to treat her fins? And with what?

*Azul is moving out and into a 10 gallon, hopefully.

My CT male has severe fin rot, and i've been told to treat it with salt and peat/IAL if you can, at 1 tp per gallon.
Sadly it has progressed into body rot, but that was because of delayed treatment. Wishing you all the best.

Better get some IAL as suggested. They are natural antibiotics and can help cure your betta. also slowly monitor him for any more signs of disease incase it gets worse

water life myxazin is a great treatment for fin rot. you could make the solution in a small container and bathe your betta for a few mins a day. i dosed the tank when i used it to good effect. good luck.
