External Filter Help

Hello, just a simple question today, can the tube the pushes the water out of the filter and in to the tank be out of the water?
ThIs is because I am getting turtles so the water level will have to lowerd and the pipe is too short to reach.

If you don't mind the sound of constant water sploshing around then yes. There is absolutely no reason why you can't have it plunging into your tank from any height. I had mine raised above the water level and had it running down slate into my tank that was stacked on a shelf out of the tank to make a waterfall. So long as the intake is under the water level at all times you shouldnt have any problems.

i was thinking of making a slate waterfall for them, it would be quieter than splashin in. cheers.
