I did alot of research into Jade eye cichlids and only ever saw the name Cichlasoma Spilurum used when referring to them

Jade-eye and Sajica cannot be more different. Very unalike. I'll post pictures when I can.

I did not make them shack up

but you shacked them up together , it's no big deal , it happens , most here are responsible hobbyist's [ hence the suggestions ] , that's all .............put up some pics , if you can ?

A Jade-eye cichlid is a cichlasoma sajica. I posted a pic of my pair about a week ago in the pics forum, entitled "male sajica has a very small wife". There are some conflicting views in different books about them though, an older book of mine says that the Jade-eye is a cichlasoma spilurum??

Sajica and jade eye are two completely different fish.
