Just like to say that Eheim customer services are spot on and have just gained a customer for life (well maybe) ;)

The reason for this is that a few days ago I posted on here a topic asking about the different types of filter media that can be put into external cannister filters (mine is a Eheim 2317 Thermofilter) and what are the benefits?

The response was somewhat dissapointing, but I am sure that was only because people did not actually know the answers to the question posed.

Checked my email this morning and have received a response from Eheim in Germany stating that they will be sending out a replacement manual (second hand filter) which I think is brilliant as this filter has been discontinued for some time, and all the information I requested on filter media, types, uses, benefits etc.

Once I get the information through I will post it on here for information if anyone would like?

If only every call/email to a customer service office was so efficient :whistle:
 
good to hear! I also have a second hand eheim filter (2217 canister). Prehaps I should email and get a replacement manual, too. I've been thrilled to bits with the filter so far. Very good design as far as I can see. Eheim's reputation can't be beat.

Thats incredible! I know they have some unusual gaurantee with filters too - they gaurantee that you can get a spare part for any of their filters until 10 years after the filter was made. I think thats really impresive.
 
I would be really interested to hear of any other companies that go above and beyond the call of duty as all too often on this and other sites all people talk about are the negatives such as Walmart etc.
