Eheim 16/22 Double Tap

I keep getting air locks when i disconnect my eheim filter as i now have a UV system in line with it. I was thinking that if i put a double tap in between the tank and the UV filter, i could stop the water moving and hopefully stop the air lock happening. BUT, these things are so expensive! And you only get one for your money!

Is there other options that are cheaper? Or where is a cheap place to get one?

im not really sure, but could you put a bung in the inlet pipe, or the outlet to stop water moving ?

I would check you joints. if the tube is air tight, you will only need the standard tap. after all, if the joints are tight, its all one pipe! guess i was wrong. UV's do do more than burn electric and bulbs. they give you headaches too.
