Dyed Sand?

Hi, I got some sand handed down to me was new in bag from coral life I believe it said. The sand is plain baige can it be dyed black or some other colour to be used in sw or fw tanks?

I've not heard of a safe way.

nope you cant. There are only a few black sands out their too. I think carbi-sea sells some....
