Never seen or had one personally but don't see why it shouldn't be any good? Just be careful though as it may be harder to find parts etc.. but then again for that price i wouldn't mind. Fluval/eheim/Rena are my favourite externals all work brilliantly.

As it doesn't have any brand name on it, it would be difficult to say. But as fishyfeet stated, probbably your best bet is for someone on here to reply with a review of some sort, having the same one themselves.

I'm struggling to think of what that $52 would convert to in £ Sterling, but if it is cheap enough i would, personally, certainly give it a go... providing i could back it up with a Fluval/Eheim/Etc if it broke down.

But if you go ahead with it, let us know what it is like, providing it has the capability and parts for a gravity fed external cannister it would be interesting to see how reliable it is.

I'm struggling to think of what that $52 would convert to in £ Sterling, but if it is cheap enough i would, personally, certainly give it a go... providing i could back it up with a Fluval/Eheim/Etc if it broke down.

If i did want it, i wouldn't be able to get it for about 3-4 weeks - pocket money is tight

Definitely a bargain then with a years warranty even if it isn't any good use it for a year then say its broke ..

these look exactly like the ones that all pond solutions sell in the UK. All Pond Solutions maybe useing the same manufacturer that make them then rebrand them to their own. if thats the case, their is plenty of talk about the all pond solutions on here, just do a search for them. I got one and it works well on my 180 litre and I have had it running for over 8 months. I got the 1000l model without the UV.

Looks like the All Pond Solutions ones here in the UK, which I believe are rebranded SunSun ones...

When there was a thread/test on filter turnover rates, these filters came out rather poorly. For example, the 2000lph had real life turnover of 900-1200lph when media was in place and only one or no section of spraybar. I've now have my second 2000EF running in a 100l QT tub for my baby Hoplo Catfish for over three weeks and the current is hardly Zaire River esque... More like a gentle stream!

I HAVE ONEE OF THESE

Its the 1400 lph model with a UV light, but its the same filter.

Not much to say really, its chinese build at its best. It does the job perfectly, holds a mahooosive amount of media, and holds really good outlet pressure. I've been running it on a 4ft with another internal (Hospital tank filter) for about a month and havent had any issues at all. The instructions are a little ropey, but if you can set up an external, you can set up an external, the thoery is the same.

I would say, from my limited experience, its a fairly good filter. Its no Eheim, but it was £40 brand new. Im pretty sure the UV lamp is going to cost me that when it needs replacing!
