Hello to all! My name is Natalie, and as stated in the title, I am new to this whole business. As of right now, I have a five gallon tank. I have one Dwarf Gourami and one bottom feeder. I've been reading all over the place that a five gallon tank is not sufficient space for fish, but it's all I have right now and I think two small fish will be ok. My main concern is with cycling the tank...could someone run me through this process?

:hi: to TFF Natalie

Have a good read up here:

I'm pretty sure the 5 gallon is too small for the Dwarf Gourami so you can either rehome it or get a bigger tank.
If you rehome the Dearf Gourami then you could get some other fish like guppies etc.
Your 5 gallon is considered a "nano tank" so if you want more ideas of fish then have a look here:

Do you know what species your bottom feeder is?

Hi nat,
There is not a single bottom feeder ( bar inverts ) I would put in a 5 gallon.the dwarf gourami is also unsuitable.
