Clown Loaches and Snails!

 Great picture Arashi! Look how the Clown Loach is trying to "eat" the snail . . . but Snaily's too big!

Hehehehe

Very nice picture even though I feel sorry for the snail....But the loaches are nice..... :)

Snail use ur Karate Chop .... :fun:

Thanks for your concern guys, but seriously, Snaily can take care of himself. As soon as he sees those Clowns coming he insantly, retreats back into his shell. Unfortunately in these pictures he kept coming back out, so it looks like the Clowns are really hurting him... :/ But I can assure you all, that Snaily is just fine, and was back to his normal routine of sliming up my tank walls about 10 minutes after these pics were taken.

And when the Clowns get too big, Snaily will be taken out of the tank...I don't want him to die either ya know... :-( All of these fun activites are very well watched over, and if anything seems to be getting hurt or harmed in any way, I intervene and stop it.

DISCLAIMER: No snails were harmed during the taking of these pictures. And the Clown Loaches were all severly punished for giving it their all...no algae wafers for a week!

lol! Yeah, the corys sleep with the Loaches. They don't seem to mind or even care that they are being layed on. I think the Clown's think the corys are just smaller, different colored versions of themselves.

Poor snail. It is going to have a short life and painful ending, even if you will separate them in some distant future, it might be too late for the poor snail. Yes, it is a snail, but it is alive, too big to be eaten whole (I do feed live snails to my fish, but they are the right size so they won't suffer) and it has no way to defend itself. It will just be eaten alive one tiny bit after another. Missing a finger or a toe won't kill, but it isn't nice either, same goes to that snail.

Yummy, soft food served warm :/

I am sorry, but I don't see anything funny in this. And it feels weird seeing so many happy smilies in this thread.

Does it still have its long tentacles intact?

man you are funny with your words  :p

I agree. I had a snail once and it did die because I believe my dwarf frogs tore him down quickly. Didn't know it would happen, but know now and won't get another snail until frogs are gone. And the snail was my favorite thing in there too. A snail probably likes getting eaten alive just as much as a fish likes getting their fins torn apart. Just trying to get you to understand that your snail is actually not happy. Not trying to come down on anyone, just trying to put down my thoughts on the subject.

Thanks cat.fish...I try. :p

Everyone else - Ok, I get it. I understand your concern for the snail. You can stop hounding me about it now. I've taken him out of the big tank, and he is now in one of my 10 gallons. The Clowns can no longer play with him anymore.

JESUS, it's just a freaking SNAIL......??? It all depends on how much quality of life an individual pegs on certain life forms....... to me, since the snail is BIG then I tend to feel more sorry for him, but he is still just a DA/\/\ SNAIL!!!! When I had 2 clown loaches....for a very SHORT period of time a couple of months ago...I was like "YEEEHA, you get them snails" "KILL EM KILL EM KILL EM" "Here, let me put them in your mouth FOR you!!!"... I was LOVING it!!!!!!

And she did say she was taking the snail out when the time was right....I guess y'all convinced her the time was now and she did it!!

I just HATE when people make others feel bad because they think they CAN..... just look at the DA/\/\ PICTURE and SHUT UP!!!!
