Well, there's a minute of my life I'll never get back.
As I said...... I've been trying for a very long time now to get rid of them...... even chucking out hundreds per day is not helping..... They just keep on multiplying..... Please advise.....

buy a couple of assassin snails?
Have you tried scooping out the entire substrate into a colander? That would be a major hassle, but it would eliminate the biggest ones. Maybe a couple assassin snails could deal with the rest.
Not intending to hi-jack Jacko's thread here, but thanks for the advice of assasin snails, but being from SA..... those snails (Assasins) are banned in SA..... I'll have to resort to some other measures.....
Maybe strain the substrate through proceedingly smaller colanders or strainers. That won't get rid of the smallest ones, but it might give you a fighting chance. The only other alternative I can think of would be to completely empty the tank - rehome the fish (even temporarily), treat the plants with a copper sulfate solution and completely discard the substrate. Then, rinse the plants, and rebuild the tank from scratch.
Ultimately, I think you are stuck with them unless you are willing to do some major renovations to the tank!
