yesterday the tadpoles were a week old!!! took another video today - - they have doubled in size the past few days - - now look like

O>----

the tiny white tadpole died, it was so far behind in development, there was no change of it successfully morphing.

ok well not much new to report - - all the tadpoles are still doing well and growing.

if you get really close and squint you can see their brain, spinal cord, stomach and heart -- they are still too tiny for my camera to pick up in great detail, but in the previous pictures you CAN make out their stomach and a bit of their brain!

well tomorrow the tadpoles will be two weeks old!!! they are doing well - - still have two "albinos"

they are becoming more responsive to their environment too which is fun....If something moves by too quickly on one side of the tank they all hurry to the opposite side....but if i have the airline tubing in to do the water change...they circle around it and my hand with out a care :)

My tadpoles are now 20 days old!!! their little "whiskers are now visible"!

here are a few photos of them that showed up fairly clear on my camera (which in of itself shows you how much they have grown)

now 23 days old - - i feel like every time I look at the tank they have grown!!!

Managed to grab some pictures where you can really see the barbels!

out of the 9 eggs that were successfully morphed, I have 7 of the tadpoles :hyper: not bad....hopefully for the next batch I can add at least one 0 at the end of those numbers!

omg i am crying - -
after taking the pictures I started doing their water change - - - I had the water being sucked out by a piece of airline tubing - -

I heard a huge crash behind me as my cat knocked over one of the buckets I had for the tadpoles water changes - - I ran to get a towel, leaving the tubing in the tank because I figured the tads were too big to be sucked up now as they are over an inch long...

omg I was wrong :-(
one of my albinos some how gut sucked up, and i used a cup to put it back in the tank, and I noticed his stomach is torn and he is just fluttering around....omg I think he's going to die and I am so upset - if i hadn't left the tubing in the tank he would be fine right now

at least the little guy didn't suffer long - - the damage was just too much and it passed away. so upset...:-(

one albino tadpole left and 5 natural tadpoles...

thanks...I feel bad but its all part of the learning experience I guess. Tomorrow morning I plan on recording another video of them, comparing it to the old videos really will show how much they have grown

24 days old!

took a video of them swimming about this morning, and then my cat Piglet settled into her favorite spot to watch them for me
