Bought some new plants at my lfs,

Got 1 bunch of golden lloydiella and 2 bunches of hornwort.

Are they any special cares I should know about? ie; lights and co2?

I know the hornwort is a floating plant but I used the lead weights it came with from the lfs. I have a sand substrate currently and I also am using the lead weights for the golden lloydiella. They've only been there for a few days. The plants were in low lit situations. So I was wondering if a well lit aquarium will do fine for it? And do I need to do a diy co2 for either of the plants? and would the tablet fert be better than the liquid stuff from seachem? Sorry I'm a noob at planted tanks

Hornwort can be used planted or left floating.
Some leave it floating for a couple of weeks to build up the plant mass quickly so they then have enough to plant elsewhere, as at the surface it has unlimited CO2 & light.
It is an easy plant to grow while planted anyway, remove the weights though as they constrict plant growth & can cause damagae.

The Lloydiella can do well in low tech tanks, sometimes requires a bit more light but see how it goes.

They dont require CO2, and the liquid fert is the better out of the two.

Thanks, Aaron
