So, Is it safe for me to add Apple Snails to a Planted Tank?

I read the Pinned topic and it says they don't usually eat plants, but I want to be certain.

There are two types of Apple Snail as far as I know. I have a Bridgesli and it doesn't eat the plants, the other definitely does. The Bridgesli has the breathing tube on the left side of it's head so it's easy to tell. If I am wrong hopefully someone will correct me but mine is like that and is fine with the plants apart from squashing them temporarily when it goes into freefall! :)

apple snails are ok with plants
I have them and they have never eaten any plants

as a treat for them try feeding them cucumber slices

OK, thanks both of you.

It's just that I researched them a little, and one site said they most definitely do eat plants and will munch through a whole planted Tank..or words to that effect.

hmmmm...The only place near me that sells them is Wyevale, which I won't buy from, and they were labeled as coldwater.

Think I'll try E-Bay.

Ebay is good, look for seller bluewomble,
I've brought from them in the past and they are well packaged,
also the one-stop-snail-shop has a good feedback rating,
but I've not brought from them myself
