Hi my external filter is always full of snails but i neva see any in my tank ive cleaned the filter before and with in days there back i also have clown loaches so cant see how any snails survive in my tank thanks in advance

Sounds like they're just living in the filter, I guess any that leave will be getting eaten by the loaches. Wouldn't worry about it, they won't be doing any harm and the odd live snack for your clowns can only be a good thing.

They've probably either gone up your inlet by mistake, or some eggs have, and the colony has started in the filter. The ones that make it to your tank are being snacked on by the loaches, hence you not seeing any. Now they are IN the filter, they can live eat and breed inside it without fear of predation. Should one occasioanlly be sucked up the outlet and make it back to the tank, as above, wont last long.

Nothing to worry about.
