cant be bothered to argue but I do disagree with you that 20-25 gallons is minimum for all apistos and while Mongabay is an excellent website there must be dozens of sources to side with what me and Curiosity is saying

They're bottom dwellers therefore the only impact the 'volume' has on them is with regards to stocking density. The footprint of an average 60l tank is 24" x 1ft and therefore by your own link is defined as suitable.
Just to point out by the way... that's not the best site to take info from... there are many references that are much more in-detail and specific to each species imparticular as opposed to a wide sweeping 'average' over-view. It's great for some of the rarer fish, but that's all I'd use it for.

It's more dependent on the footprint of the tank than the capacity. Being a species that dwells mostly at the bottom territory is more of a concern. Knowing breedes who have bred them in a 10 gallon, and having bred them in a 20 gallon myself I'd say they would get by just fine with a 20 gallon filed half way, as they rarely bother with the top half of the tank.
