Angel Eggs Going White

Hi,

my stupid angelfish decided to spawn on the heater after all the stuff i put in there for them to spawn on ..and half the eggs died and turned white beacuse of the heat.
When i found the eggs i immediately turned the heater off removed all the dead eggs and tranferred the heater with the eggs attached to a 20gal with fresh, dechlorinated tap
water of the same temperature and ph.

The eggs are now turning white in front of my eyes!..its like its spreading across the whole batch, fungus cant spread that fast can it
they are right next to an airstone so they're getting adequate circualtion

does anyone know why the eggs are dying?

I don't know why your eggs your dying am guessing its just the heat that's killed all the cells.

Just posting to let you know that you may find it worth buying a guard to go around you heater.

You need another liquid in the water its blue but cant rememeber the name, as said next time get a heater gaurd and try to hide the heater behind slate/plastic plants etc,,,sounds like you have a unfertilized batch, yes the do mould up quickly

Fried eggs, it only takes a few minutes of that sort of heat to kill them. Don't feel bad, happens to the best of us. I had a heater stick a couple weeks back on a spawn I pulled, white in a day.

oh damn..

i guess ill just have to wait for the next spawn then..and make sure they dont do it on the heater
