I've just had a friend round who currently has one of her lizards in a glass tank, but is having a new viv built (3 tiers, 3 separate vivs for her reptiles) and said she'll just give me the tank when it's no longer occupied!

So, ignoring the fact that the man-wife will probably kill me for having another tank, I'm now considering stocking...

Could do cories and wcmm? Or just cardinals (man-wife did like the cardinals a lot...)? Or a betta sorority?

Kinda like the idea of making it a bit fun for the kids...really don't want livebearers though, I really dislike livebearers. I like the lego themed tanks...

I don't know, there's so many options!

Would I manage to fit a healthy group of each in a 2 footer? the shoals would be so small it wouldn't be worth it, would it?

If you went for the smaller cories Pygmy/habrosus/hastatus,you could have a good shoal of 6-8 with shoal of cards...

Yes, it was going to be all pink and fun... now it's planted with cardinals.

to be fair, the kids do really like cardinals...

I've just remembered I have a tardis in the garage, so I think that'll have to be the centerpiece/inspiration.

Thinking... abandoned tardis parked in between some rocks overlooking grassy meadow, now overgrown by java fern and claimed by fish... ...complete with betta called "The Doctor" obviously, and cardinals which could be collectively known by whichever of the Doctor's minions are currently part of the show...
