Peanut Butter is one of my favorite foods. Gives you instant energy and has lots of protein. I have 14 jars on my pantry shelf. I bought them when they were on sale so I stocked up. Have yourself a peanut butter sandwich or peanut butter waffles as you celebrate National Peanut Butter Day!

So are you a fan of peanut butter? Do you prefer Crunchy or do you like smooth? How much do you eat a week. What are your favorite ways to incorporate peanut butter in your diet? I eat about a 16 oz jar about every 10 days. I mainly eat it on top of rice cakes. But sometimes I'll eat a tablespoon or two right out of the jar.

Try this recipe: Get some plain cheung fun also known as rice noodle rolls and steam it till done. Then add some soy sauce to your liking and then mix some peanut butter and hoisin sauce and mix it in with some sesame seeds and the noodles. The flavours of peanut butter and hoisin sauce mix together really well.
Somehow this is the part I miss most about Hong Kong.

Oh… and I’m addicted to Reeses peanut butter cups. I once finished a 3 lb bag in just 4 days. It was part of a birthday present from a friend. I won't be doing that again any time soon.

Peanut butter noodles with some serious heat to them - mmmm.

We should have international peanut butter celebrations, but the Australians probably want equal billing for their strange yeast by product things.

In grade school I had a friend who brought peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches for lunch. I like peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

A kid who lived up the road from me liked white bread and peanut butter sandwiches, but had to hold them under a cold water tap and then eat them with a fork.

I had another grade school friend who would eat potato chip sandwiches on white bread.

There’s a health food store in my burg that has a machine that makes fresh peanut butter from raw peanuts . Don’t get no fresher than that . Fun to watch it work too .
Yeah, Laramie had a store like that when I was in college. They had a good tea selection, too.

A tip: Go for Adams or similar, natural peanut butter, rather than the junk with all the added oils and artificial smoothness. Let it warm to room temp, stir it up to mix in the peanut oil, then keep it in the fridge so it doesn't separate again.

Probably my favorite way to eat peanut butter is to just get a big spoonful of it, sit down somewhere comfortable, and go to work on it. Wash it down with a big glass of cold milk. That's my second favorite after-work snack.

Also: Crunchy > Smooth. (that oughta start a fight)

Peanut butter is the best. Always have liked it, and still do. I will eat it straight out of the jar. In the past we used it extensively as a quick food when going on multiday kayaking trips. I eat it on pancakes, toast, crackers, but mostly I like to scoop it out and just eat it as is. It's also essentially sugar free so I don't have to worry so much about eating it as a snack.

I’m definitely a crunchy man. I alternate crunchy peanut butter with crunchy almond butter. I buy raw crunchy almond butter and mix the entire jar with 1/4 cup maple syrup, then into the refrigerator so nothing separates.

That would be sooooo good. I couldn't eat it now but in the past it wouldn't survive long.
