Its likely to be removing it in an exponetial curve. Everytime the water goes through the filter it is going o have less phosphate to be able to absorb. Plus your not filtering the entire volume as some of the water goes by without being scrubbed at all. Give it time it will remove it all out. That is as long as its not still being generated!

Wow Aqua! I just stumbled onto this thread for the first time and am truly impressed by your tank! :)

I've always dreamt of having a reef tank.. but after watching everything you've gone through I'll stick with my simple fw

Pfft!.............Chicken :p

I understand the curvy bit :) The way i've set the RowaPhos filter means that water that has gone through it goes straight through to the return pump and up into the main tank. The powerhead is drawing water from the sump when it enters from the main tank and passing that through so at least it's fresh water each time. I'm also testing the main tank so it's doing something :)

Haha, you sure do like your sponges! :p I like your leather. Always wanted one, I should do a bit of research about them. Im in lazy mode atm. :D Nice tank mate!

Well this morning I was rudely awakened @ 9.15am by the postman with a surprise package from Matthew5664 - a lovely bag full of macro algae :D

Much appreciated mate - the favour will be returned ;)

Oh, and how did you know what to send for my little boy? He loves his present:

Thought i'd post an update on how things are going.

Diatom bloom has dissappeared and everything has settled down again after the transfer, got 30 snails arriving on Friday to bef up the cleanup crew and I got a brilliant new camera for my birthday :D

Went a little camera crazy last night as I found that with the x12 optical zoom I can sit on the sofa and shoot the tank from afar and get nice pictures without spooking the fish. Combined with the >1cm super macro mode, this camera is ideal for tank shots :p
