I know see why you wanted to have an acrypic plate under the rock to help support the weight on the glass! It looks great but I assume its a species only tank now? WHen i mean species i mean liverock only or are you going to shoehorn a neon goby or two in there too  :p ;) :D

Wow, thats a lot of LR. It really reminds me of live reef shelfs though. Looks fantastic. Will any fish go in it ever? :D

Matthew5664:
At a guess there must be around 65kg in there (as I have about 25kg left from the old tank and I had 85kg+ in that)

Navarre:
:p

SkiFletch:
Some fish from the old tank will be moved over - 2 x percs, 1 x coral beauty, 1 x watchman goby, 1 x clown goby, 1 x firecracker goby, 1 x algae blenny

Crazyelece:
That's what your cleanup crew are for :D

The return from the sump flows down the righthand corner and the return from the external flows down the lefthand corner, also the powerheads draw water from inside the rockwork so there's absolutely no chance of any dead spots - after building 4 reefs i've learnt a lot from previous mistakes/bad designs so despite there being a hell of a lot of rock there's still plenty of water flow.

Good Job :)
That is a nice-looking tank, cant w8 to see inverts, more corals, and ofcourse the fish :D
I'm gonna keep an eye on this post :hey:

Thought it was about time for a few tank shots, bare in mind there's not a lot in there atm but I have managed to transfer my sponges over so it's looking a little better:

very nice tank I wish I had a tank that looked as good but I guess it will come in time. dave

Just goes to show what good quality matured live rock can do for a tank :D

That's pretty much all that's in there at the moment but it still has a very 'Reefy' feel to it

Surprise surprise i've redesigned the rockwork in the tank :*)

I was moving the last of the rock from the larger tank and started to fiddle with one bit and before I knew it the whole lot was churned up and rearranged. Still, lots more room for 'planting' but with the same (if not more) rock in there and an overall better look I think:

The sump filled with live rock, mangroves and a load of free algae I got today :p:

Just transferred over some of my rockpool shrimp to the new setup and got a nice pictures showing how cool these little guys can be under good lighting. These are the shrimps you find in rockpools around the coast of the UK and do a fantastic job of cleaning up the tank:

Moved a bit more stock over tonight. Managed to catch the Yellow Watchman Goby really easily as he was hiding in a barnacle, same goes for the Pink Dottyback, he shot into a barnacle and was just lifted out of the tank :D. The two Clowns were very well behaved and just swam upto my hand and were gently ushered into the net but the Firecracker Goby is proving to be very elusive. There's only him and the coral Beauty to move over then I just need to sell the Regal Tang and Swallowtail Angel before I shut the main tank down.

My Chiton (had to be peeled off the glass with a scapel):
