Would You Normally Get Store Credit When Returning Fish Back To The Lf

Recently, I've lost a few danios and a platty. One of my rummynose tetra has also lost its eye.

I believe this may be due to the adult Bristlenose (4") sucking on them, I have witnessed the BN sucking on the zebra danio.

I've looked at my water stats and it is all fine (0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 15 nitrate, 6.6 ph ).

If it is due to the BN, do you think I would be able to return it to the LFS I got it from and get store credit? If they don't offer store credit, would it be worthwhile asking another LFS? This is because the adult BN cost a lot when I got it.

Thanks.

I think you're best off asking your LFS that question. Especially if they know/you can prove you bought it there, and it's still in good health, there's no reason why they shouldn't take it back. But some places are funny about returns and such, so I would suggest telling them what the problem is and seeing what their policy/guarantee is. If they refuse, that's when you can call around and see if anyone else is willing to give store credit for it...there's likely to be someone around that'll take it.

You do need to ask the store about that, I usually get in store credit for returns at my LFS in fact they will usually give me "loaner" fish such as plecos just till they do their job then they take them back. I don't recommend that to everyone but I have a great LFS which I have no worries about disease wise etc.

Just ask your store about it if not like was said before, someone will want that fish.

Good Luck
