LFS guy said I could have some of the plastic bio plastic balls that are in there
Filter they have like 200lts tank with bio plastic balls in it that's there mass filter
If I filled a filter full would it classed as cycled right away

Would certainly be well on its way. All depends on how many balls and the bio load you'd be asking the donation to cope with.

would be as many as i could fit in the filter, then 6 corys as i want then out of the main setup there eating my fry, with the
corys in there the filter should grow enough for when the fry if any left or next time, are to i size i can put them together

if its all mature media like you say then yes it should be fine
do keep an eye on water stats though just in case their is an ammonia spike then you can fix it straight away

I usually put the mature media in the filter, then run the dechlorinated tankful for about half a day to make sure everything is going well, then test the water. Always best to start small with numbers of fish to start, but it sounds like that's what you're doing.

Sounds like you have a good LFS there!

How about this as well, I maybe getting a juwel about 50lts
Is I put the bio balls in bags say 2 bags and put them in the bottom
Of the juwel filter and the one sponge maybe filter floss this to
Should work

Has anyone filled a juwel filter this way ?

Cheers

A strong clone like you are suggesting would certainly be a giant leg up. I would go that extra step and do a fishless cycle on the tank after adding that media to my filter. I would expect to see it instantly cycled and my week long trial would be nothing much more than a confirmation. If that turned out to be true, I would be simply delighted. If it did not turn out to be true, my caution would be rewarded by keeping me from stocking an inadequately cycled tank. How could you lose?

Ok what I'm going to do
I've a 60/70lts clear seal tank, I have removed the juwel filter from my 60lts
I'm going to re fit it in the clear seal and use it for my fry when there ready

I need to know how's the best setup got the filter it's the compact one I can get
Some plastic bio balls from LFS out of there filter
First should I bag them or just put them in if bagged what with ?

Should I still put some sponge in there as well ?

And in what order would you do this if it's possible ?

There is no media in at the moment

Thanks
