Shaun of the dead was pretty lame, I wasn't sure if it was trying to be gory or funny, the two don't mesh well, you can never settle in to one feeling about it.
I think if they had taken the guts and stuff out and made more of the jokes it could have been ok, I did like when they were going through the box of albums and flinging only the bad 80's ones at the zombs, that was funny, but I was pretending not to laugh because Dan looked horrified that we were even watching it, let alone laughing at it.
I liked 28 days later - not so much as a movie, but because it creeped me out for weeks afterwards. Every morning at work, I have to go into the training suite and turn on all the lights and they are slow, so I hit the switches and walk in and am half way across the room before they come on, I dare myself to go in in the dark, lol I keep going "helloo-oo?" and then scaring myself like "what if the lights DONT come on and an infected runs out at me?" oooh....
You have to make your own entertainment at my job.
