Well, the tank and scape look stunning! The cabinet does look very solid and there's very, very little overhang, so I'm betting it'll be fine, but at least you know what the potential risks are and can be prepared and make that informed decision!
The cabinets I'm using as fish stands aren't designed for that, so I've taken bigger risks and so far gotten away with it... hope that doesn't jinx me! Love that anubius coffeeflora BTW, I had to get one after seeing one too, they're so tropical looking.
just doesn’t look right to me. Also had a number of comments from other pages about the cabinet and it’s stressing me out, so I feel I can’t enjoy it. It’ll be relocated to the kitchen counter top, which is very solid, no chance of an overhang, and waterproof. (I like to tinker and change things a lot and so comments about the wood warping when wet are really stressing me). It’s a shame because I’d prefer to have it where it is in front of the sofa, but it is what it is… As said previously, this tank is only something to scratch the fish keeping itch until I move in 6 months and upgrade. Until then, I’m sure I can still find joy seeing it in the kitchen!
