hey guys new to the forum but not to the hobby .... i managed to pick up 4 wild pairs of pelvicachromis which as any keeper of these fish will know is a huge deal as the the Czech republic have already mixed the groups up and its no longer reliable to say for certain if what the fish is sold as is the actual location that they originated from.. Wild imports like this are very rare

how ever i picked up pelv. moliwe, pelv. nange, pelv. lobe & pelv.kienke ... all very stunning fish ... i did also have a pair of pelv. ndonga but sadly lost the male ... still on the search for one if anyone knows of a wild one floating around

i am a big keeper of pelvicachromis and also have 4 other strains aswel as a few wild pairs of apistos and bristlenose ... longfins, super reds, L144's and even wild bristlenose .... have a few bigger cichlids also such as honduran red points, F1 Thorichthys Meeki- Rio Subin breeding pair, wild Neolamprologus brichardi

Hi Peter! Welcome to the forum mate. :good: Nice to have someone else on board from around these parts! :) I have recently been looking into transvestitus, very interesting indeed! Also, next time you have some Firemouth fry available i would love some from you! :good:

Thanks.

yeha pal yeh its always good to find more local keepers/breeders closer to yourself isn't it , id well recommend the transvestitus loads of personality to them ... mine have spawned twice but no fry as of yet though .... but yh firemouths no problem there stunning f1 parents not like the grey washed out ones you see in aquatic stores these days ... will post pic up later of them ... if i can lol

I'm sure you can Peter, you run your own website so should imagine you will be able to upload a picture!!

Do the FM's breed often?

hahaha don't mean my ability too .... its capturing a pic of them as there quite skittish .... but yes ive had the more common ones found in aquatic stores and they bred about once a month ..... got a few videos of them on my youtube actualy if you wanted to have a look ?

these however breed more often as closer to wilds its more instictive as long as the water conditions are good :)
