Who has a spiny eel?

I'm of course most interested in what they are compatable with... like which cichlids...

esp my famous cichlid / ranbow combo tanks

with a pleco?

Not at all Eelzor! The pH that tanganyikian fish need to be kept at is far too high for a BGK to be comfortable in (or most other fish on the planet).

As far as tankmates go tanganyikian eels are cheifly piscavors preying on young cichlids so tankmates need to be large enough when adult to avoid becoming late night snacks and not be anything you are particually interested in breeding, nor should they be too aggressive in case they damage the eel while trying to defend young.
