in my "invert" travels i came across this:
http
/www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1G1-133108183.html
and though this deals with crayfish, the problem is with all crustaceans.
http
/www.diva-portal.org/diva/getDocumen...2__fulltext.pdf
it seem clear from this we all need to be careful with raw Shrimp. and what's more it seems to be something that does not get on the radar very often.
if you look how ICK it has come to be almost endemic within the trade, it seem this could be said to be endemic in the Shrimp we and our critters eat.
advice would be, never, never, feed uncooked shrimp to any Crustacean. and it may well be worth avoiding it all together. even frozen shrimp, but uncooked, seem to offer the same dangers.
